Business??? Mankind was my business!!! The common good was my business!!!

Welcome!!! If you're here, there's probably very little I need to say about myself. You probably already know it, but as it's expected that I tell you something, I'll go ahead and put it here.

My name is Wes Howell. I have a degree in Pastoral Theology, with a major in Church Music, which I earned from Western Pentecostal Bible College, now known as Summit Pacific. I love music and it is one of the most important aspects of my life, and in 2008, I produced my first album, entitled, A Strange Mix. It is called that, because it is a rather eclectic mix of classical music. Classical is my favorite type of music to compose, and I had fun making the album. For Christmas of 2010, I produced a Christmas album entitled, Do You Hear What I Hear. It is a compilation of my own arrangements of several Christmas Carols ranging in type from classical (O Holy Night) to semi-Manheim Steamroller (Carol of the Bells).

One of my great passions is sailing. I have a 17 foot sailboat that I love putting in the water any time I can. Unfortunately, it seems that I just don't get the chance to do it very often anymore. I find that there's nothing quite as nice as gliding along at a good clip with no sound but the wind.

In my blog, you will find a piece of Star Trek Fan Fiction that I'm writing. I haven't named it yet, but I'm having fun writing it. Anyone who can think of a name for it, comment on the blog and let me know what you think I should call it.

My wife and I have 8 kids, ranging from 27 to 7. They are all great and I really enjoy them.

Ora is living in Hayden Lake, Idaho, and works for a cement company.

Eva is married, and is living in Spokane. She has a wonderful husband, a great daughter, and a little boy who was born in January of 2010. On April 10th, 2011, their 3rd child, Hayden Elizabeth , was born. She's as cute as they come!

Daniel is out of high school, and is through college. He went to Interface Computer College here in Spokane. He's talking about going on for a higher degree through an online computer school as well. He currently resides with us, and he did great in college. I'll let you read his page to see what he's up to.

Dave worked with Green Collar Job Corps last summer. He has worked for them for two years now. He was given a great position of responsibility this last summer, after working for them for one year. He has expressed his interest in a career in agricultural science as he really loves that type of work (hooray for my yard!) He even got a writeup in the Spokesman Review here in Spokane, his first year there.

Mark worked with Dave at Green Collar Job Corps last summer as well. This was his first summer, and he liked it ok, but unlike Dave, I don't think he'll be planning a career in agriculture anytime soon.

This last summer, my parents came up from Arizona to visit us. I hadn't seen them for several years, and it was wonderful to see them. They came up in time for my mom's birthday, so I called around to relatives, and arranged for as much of a family reunion that I could make on her birthday. Mom seemed to enjoy it, so I guess it went over well. Lots of the relatives who came, I hadn't seen for quite awhile as well, so that was nice. Right after my folks left, I finally got to realize a dream I've had for many years. The boys and I put in a pond in our front yard. We have a bit more to do with it this summer. There seems to be a leak in the spillway, but it was really fun to set up, and I'm looking forward to getting the pumps re-connected so we can use it again.
